“Armistice 100” Exhibit Opening

November 8 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free
Admiralty House Communications Museum is honoured to announce the much anticipated opening of a new exhibit that will be on display for the month of November at The Annex.
Admiralty House has created a rich and interactive exhibit titled “Armistice 100.” This year marks the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended the First World War, This commemorative exhibit will feature stories of the Newfoundland Royal Naval Reserve and HMS Briton following the war, paintings by local Mount Pearl artist Darlene Redmond, and an array of First World War artifacts— including a number that were physically brought home from battlefields in Europe.
“Armistice 100” will be open to the public starting on November 8, 2018 at The Annex. Through guided tours and public programming for all ages, “Armistice 100” will commemorate the end of the First World War by extending the narrative to understand what happened once the fighting had stopped.
